Disney Pin Trading

A Fun Hobby, and Great For Making New Disney PIN PALS!

Disney Pin Trading is all about having fun, and interacting with Cast Members and other guests. It provides an opportunity to strike up a conversation and learn more about people who share the same interest in Pin Trading/Collecting. What is so great about Pin Trading? It's fantastic for shy, introverted people, and fun for the entire family. Think of all the cherished Disney memories from trading and sharing pins. It can start a tradition for every generation in your family.

How do you get started? Purchase a few pins and a lanyard and you're ready to go. Visit any Disney Theme Park and find a Cast Member wearing a lanyard filled with many types of Disney pins. It is easy, fun and very simple!

There is Disney Pin Trading Etiquette that many guests are not aware of. To know if a pin is tradable or not is it should be a metal pin that represents a Disney Icon, Character, Location or Event. The pins should be in good condition and undamaged. Guests may trade a maximum of two pins, and only one pin of the same style with a Cast Member.

There are many different and unique types of Disney Pins to collect and trade. Some of the Pins are Limited Edition, Hidden Mickey's, a Feature Pin, Artist Proof Pins, Dangle, Die Cast, Epoxy Coating, Flocked, Free-D, Light-Up, Slider, Spinner, and Retired Pins. Most pins range in price from $6.95 to $12.95. Featured Artist and Jumbo Pins cost between $20.00 and $35.00, and Super Jumbo Pins can run $75.00 and up. Most Disney pins are enamel or enamel cloisonne' with a metal base. Guests can trade or collect pins at Disney World's four main theme parks, including Downtown Disney and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

You can purchase Pin Trading Lanyards anywhere they sell pins. Lanyards cost $7 to $12 per lanyard. Mouse Explorer is offering a FREE Pin Trading lanyard to all Mouse Explorer newsletter readers. See details below...

Pin Collectors can arrange and display their pins according to their own personal preferences. Pins can be framed and arranged in a window shadow box, scrapbook, or on different colored lanyards. The most popular Character Pins are of Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell, Goofy, Ariel, Stitch, Figment and Jessica Rabbit. The Attraction Pins most sought out are The Haunted Mansion and the Hitchhiking Ghosts, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Monorails.
