Spam in the name of the Lord

Kind Request

My beloved Dearest one in the Lord,

Greetings to you in the name of our lord God. I offer my friendship with warm hearts and I hope this letter meets you in good time. I know that this message will appear as a surprise to you, but the grace of God directed me to you.

I suffer a terrible brain tumor at the moment. The doctor incharge of my treatment, informed me two days back, that I now have few days to live. Currently, I have exhausted all my savings for my medical care, but I do have some funds for my charity project. These funds are deposited in a fixed account in a local bank in Benin Republic. Due to my health condition, I have decided to donate these funds to a God fearing individual, who will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct in my next email, I want an individual that will use this fund to build orphanage homes and also sponsor Charity (Humanitarian) services.

Please contact me if you are interested, for more details about the project.

May God bless you.

Yours Sincerely,
Mrs. Rose Collins.

Delivery Failure (Virus Attached)

This set of fraudulent emails claims to be from FedEx regarding a package that could not be delivered. These emails ask the receiver to open an attachment in order to obtain the airbill or invoice needed to pick up their package. The attachment in the email may contain a virus. Please do not open the attachment and delete the email immediately.

The frequency of this email tends to increase close to the holiday season, presumably to exploit the growth in shipping volumes.
